What's going on guys? Kevin from Epic Gardening here and I'm back with Ben Hale of Easy Living

Yards. Yesterday we talked about landscaping mistakes, really common things that you could

0:11.3

do wrong that might just sort of sour you on your landscape,

0:15.6

you know, just inefficient things that you might be doing.

0:17.8

Well, today we're going to be talking about another type of thing that you might be wasting

0:22.0

and that would be your own time which is in my view

0:24.4

much more important than maybe money or something else you know you can never get

0:29.6

time back so then what are some things that we can do to save time maintaining setting up just

0:39.2

anything in our yard? Hey Kevin it's great to be here again. I love talking about time specifically for the reason you just talked about which is I've learned especially say I would say over the past decade that time is way more valuable than money or

0:55.0

anything else to me because if we don't use our time wisely and we wasted

1:00.1

on something that's not important we end up losing that time and not doing something

1:04.7

that is living with intent or with purpose.

1:08.5

And so I have basically just a really short list of things that can really help us save time in our yard.

1:16.2

So we can kind of avoid doing those long-term tasks or those maintenance tasks that aren't very much fun. They take away a lot of time from what could be more

1:25.2

valuable. So here a lot of us are gardeners, right? We'd probably prefer to be growing food,

1:31.1

whether that's in the hydroponic system or out in our backyard, and instead of having

1:36.2

to go out front and cut the grass or pull some weeds or whatever we need to do, some pruning maybe. And so I would say really some quick

1:46.8

tips here. One is suppressing weeds, two, build healthy soil, three, select low maintenance plants, and four, take care of your lawn in a low maintenance way.

1:57.5

And so I can drill down into more detail with each of these.

2:01.0

When it comes, Okay, great.

2:03.0

I'm thinking, let's go last first because I think the lawn tips might be some of the more

2:07.9

interesting ones that a lot of people may not know about and then we can go back up to some of the other ones.
