Summary

In this episode of After Hours With Amanda, I’m talking about time passing, feeling behind, dreams, motherhood, Disneyland, grief, and the version of me who once could not see how the story would unfold. I read from the journal I started when I was pregnant with London, back when I was working retail and aching to be home with her, and I talk about why Disneyland feels like coming home to my mom, Adam, and younger me. If you feel stuck, scared, or like everyone else got the map except you, this is your reminder that time is passing, but it is not leaving you behind.

So it's hump day, and I cannot tell you how thrilled I am because we are 16 days away from Disneyland.

0:25.9

The joy in my heart, the excitement I feel.

0:29.9

I was already excited for spring break because if you know anything about me, yes, I do enjoy

0:36.4

the structure that school brings, but I detest the

0:40.2

over-scheduledness of it. Like, in personally, I love when they're at home, when the tiny

0:45.4

queens are just chilling, when they don't have to deal with homework. Like, I love when they

0:49.7

have time off. So I am beside myself. And it's funny because I had decided on an episode. I had recorded the

0:59.1

episode and I was going to drop it, you know, like it posts on midnight of Wednesday, right?

1:03.7

Because I feel like that's perfect. Right. And the more I thought about it this week,

1:08.0

the more I was like, no, something else was on my heart to share and, like, talk about. I have, Lennon and I can wear the same size socks now.

1:28.5

And so between the two of us, we need to get an actual supply of socks.

1:33.6

And my haines socks that I wear, like my taller ones that I wear over my leggings, all have holes in them.

And Target has been out of them since forever.

So I just need to order
