A couple weeks ago I did a video on Irving Penn and I mentioned in that video that the exhibition

Irving Penn Beyond Beauty is going to be traveling to Dallas in April and I also mentioned that we're going to do a

meetup and so I want to talk about that a little bit today because this is going to be

something extra special and I'm really pretty excited about this.

So many of you know that I used to work for the Dallas Museum of Art.

I was there for seven years and I was talking to some of my colleagues there recently.

We were brainstorming some different ways that maybe the museum and the show could collaborate

with something around the exhibition.

And so what they've extended to us is an invitation to do an event and this is what we're going to do. So on

Thursday, April 28th, 2016, we're going to meet up at the museum in the Atrium

Cafe at 6 o'clock PM and the atrium cafe will have food and drinks available

purchase and we'll kind of have a little social happy hour and hang out and

talk photography and get to know one another and then at seven o'clock we're

going to get a private tour of the exhibition from my friend Sue Canterbury.

Sue is the curator of American Art at the Dallas Museum of Art and she's fabulous.

We worked together for a couple years and we've done video pieces together we've done radio spots I think you're

really gonna like her she is the host curator for the exhibition so she knows a lot

of the backstory and behind the scenes on a lot of the images and it's gonna be a lot of fun so we're going to get a private

tour with her and then after that we will find a restaurant that's local and we will

go grab some food together and close out the evening that way. I'm really
