I'm going to be talking to our old friend John Zmirak. But before we get to John Zmirak,

I have somebody on the line that I like to think of as Tim Teebo. You've probably heard of Tim Teebo.

He's a Heisman winning football player. And to me, even though he's a lot younger than I am,

he's a hero for his courage, for his voice speaking out, for faith, for the weakest among us in this culture.

I'm thrilled to have him on the phone. Tim Teebo, welcome to this program.

What's up Eric, how you doing? I'm doing all right. You know, you're not as physically impressive over the phone.

In person, you are very physically impressive. On the phone, you just seem normal.

Isn't that stupid? You never seem normal Eric, alright? You're always impressive.

Well, you are just so sweet. That's another reason I love you. Listen, you've got a new book out called This Is The Day.

And I got to say Tim, honestly, I don't say this very often, but whatever you've got to say,

I am interested in because you have lived the life on the public stage in a way that I think is just so wonderful.

And I want to know your story and what you have to say. And I know that's what's in this book.

But tell us beyond that, what is in this book? What made you decide you wanted to write a book?

Well, honestly, it was quite a few things. One of them, my dad getting diagnosed with Parkinson's.

You know, in a few events where people suddenly passed away and just, you know, around a lot of events that I felt really encouraged to write this book about how life is about This Day.

It's not about one day. And I was around so many other people that were waiting to do to live out their dream till they retire until they save enough money or so they do all these different things.

And you just don't know how much time you have. And you don't know, you know, what's the next day holds. And I wanted to encourage people that, you know, living life isn't about one day. It's about this day. It's not about, you know, the being able to one day do this.
