0:16.2	On this episode of 5 to 4, Peter, Riannon, and Michael are talking about TikTok v. Garland.
0:22.7	This is a case from just a few weeks ago, centered on a law passed by Congress last year
0:27.7	that said TikTok must separate from its Chinese parent company or else get banned in the United
0:33.0	States. TikTok, along with some of its users, challenged the law, claiming that banning the app would violate their freedom of speech.
0:40.8	But the Supreme Court said the ban does not constitute a violation of the First Amendment,
0:45.8	and that the law is justified because TikTok is a threat to national security.
0:50.0	The High Court has just declined to stop a ban of TikTok.
