One of my favorite cowbell bass songs ever, Low Rider by War, which is the soundtrack for one of my all-time favorite scenes in any movie ever

and that would be the opening of Up & Smoke, the very first Cheech & Chong movie where Cheech Marin is outside lovingly polishing his L Camino to that song in the background

One of my favorite scenes ever, one of my favorite moments in cinematic history and we talk about that today with the man himself, Cheech Marin is here

I went to his house in Los Angeles to record the interview, I was on a roll that week, I went to Gene Simmons's house, I went to Cheech Marin's house, both of them beautiful places

Cheech had a better view, I'd have to say he was right on top of a canyon, overlooking everything and just an amazing, amazing story

I'd ran into Cheech in the halls of the OP&A Anthony show about six months ago and we reconnected, we did the show Celebrity duets back in 2006, which is one of the bombs of my career

It was the Corsican Brothers of my career if you want to do Cheech & Chong terms

It was a singing show where they had celebrities that sing paired up with professional singers in Cheech and I did that show together

And became friends and of course that was back in the early days, there was no Twitter, there was just kind of cell phones

I mean, who really, you know, exchanges, numbers, you exchanged Twitter addresses nowadays, and Instagram addresses and Facebook, but to run into him as he was promoting, I believe it was the book of life

I think it was a cartoon and I was like, do this guy, it would be perfect in my podcast and of course typical Jericho fashion, I stayed on him, I got his published this email and made it happen

It really, really cool, reunion of sorts, walked right into Cheech's house once again and Cheech collects Latino art

So it all these amazing art pieces everywhere, drawn by, you're repainted I guess by Mexican people and people from like East LA and so central and that sort of thing

Very, very educated man, great, great guy, just super cool, he's wearing a shirt that had like a pot leaf on it and all things

You're gonna hear his stance on the Hwanda, you're gonna hear how he got his name Cheech, you're gonna hear Tommy Chong's original idea for their group name
