Zoom was getting some traction and Steve Jobs goes to Macworld and he pulls out this iPhone.

Our first news item, and there's only one that could lead today's show, and it's going to be filed under the Doe!

category, and it comes from NGadgett, and NGadgett mistakenly reported on Wednesday,

May 16th, which is earlier today, that the iPhone was not going to be out until October,

and Leopard wouldn't be out until January. In NGadgett's defense, they're basing this on a letter that they received from an Apple email address,

and that letter was supposedly from a very credible source.

In the letter, it's stated that both OSX and the iPhone would be delayed,

and again, respectively, OSX out to January, and that's a leopard, and iPhone out until October.

That post came out around 1149 in the morning, and a lot of the other blogs picked up on it and started reporting it.

Shortly thereafter, Apple picked up on this, and the PR department from Apple contacted NGadgett

and let them know that the email they got was not a real
