Zune was getting some traction and Steve Jobs goes to Macworld and he pulls out this iPhone.

What was your first reaction when you saw that?

I like it a lot. It'll do music, it'll do internet, it'll do email, it'll do instant messaging.

So I kind of look at that and I say, well, six months, Apple is selling millions and millions

and millions of phones.

item first.

That has to do with the UK and Europe and who might be the carriers.

There's been a lot of different rumors going back and forth on this.

Midweek, the rumor was that it was between Vodafone and Orange, but then only a couple

days later, Marketing Week put out an article that said that T-Mobile has emerged as the front-runner

in the race to secure the exclusive European distribution rights for Apple's much-anticipated

iPhone, unquote. What you really, if you think about it, is kind of an interesting thing. T-Mobile gets it in Europe but doesn't get it in the United States. That, to me, was a little surprising. I would have figured that T-Mobile would have been out of the race just because of the issue that it's a competition in the U.S. to singular. Now again, that's just T-Mobile is quote
