The news is now moving faster than cities in the north of England are being shut down.

After the news yesterday that Manchester would move into Tier 3, whether Andy Burnham likes it or not,

Sheffield was put into Tier 3 status just about an hour ago, along with the rest of South Yorkshire,

and there's a pretty good likelihood there could be even more localized measures over the next 24 hours. His Prime Minister's

questions today, and we'll be bringing it live to you from midday in the company of our political

correspondent, Charlotte Ivers. Before all that, though, we'll be asking where this is all going.

Boris Johnson seems to be continuing to resist calls for a national lockdown from his

scientific advisors and with claims that the infections are rising, is any of this actually

doing any good? We're already hearing this morning that basically tier three might not be enough

for some parts of the country and if it's not enough to shut down the whole economy, what else can

they actually do? We'll be asking Henry Hill from

Conservative Home and we're also entertaining a special guest, Baroness Kate Howie, of Lyle Hill

The latest madness from the Metropolitan Police is suggesting that pubs and restaurants

should demand photo ID from customers before they let them in to counter all the fake names being given to the track and trace people.
