Welcome to our rosary meditation. Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for, offering our rosary for all of the loved ones that have been submitted to the prayer and attention list for their deep conversion

and well-being and mind, body, and soul. And let's also pause for a moment and do a brief

examination of conscience so that we can be better prepared for a regular sacrament of reconciliation.

I've been reflecting on the meaning and purpose of pain and suffering since we meditated

a few days ago on the sacrament of anointing, and it led me to a powerful writing from

Teresa of Avala that turned upside down my view on suffering. In the Our Father,

we pray, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Thy kingdom come.

Thy kingdom come. God will give the kingdom of heaven to us now in this life which is perfect joy.

But there is a price and the price is this.

Thy will be done.

We must abandon our will to God.

We must do the will of God and accept His will. This is the price we must pay.

But it's actually a small price in comparison to what we get in return.

Heaven, perfect joy, here in this life.

For if we abandon our will to the will of God completely,

then we will experience transforming union with God.

We will experience a flood of the living water

that quenches our infinite desire for truth and beauty and goodness.

So why wait?
