Live from ABC News headquarters in New York City, this is Good Morning America.

We're going to begin with ISO facilities all across the country on high alert after that

fatal shooting and an ICE facility in Texas.

The gunman opening fire from a rooftop killing one detainee, leaving two others in critical

condition.

Police say the suspect then took his own life.

This morning, Maria Villarreal is there on the

scene for us in Dallas. Good morning to you, Maria. Hey, good morning, Robin. We now know that the shooter

was actually taking aim from this building right here on top, firing several shots a few hundred yards

away into the back of this ice facility right here. We know that he killed one, as you mentioned, wounded two others, and we also know at least one of those victims is from Mexico.

This morning, an urgent investigation underway after a shooter opens fire at an ice facility in Dallas, Texas, in what authorities are calling an act of targeted violence against

the agency, killing one detainee and critically injuring two others before taking his own life.

Early evidence that we've seen from rounds that were found near the suspected shooter

contain messages that are anti-ice in nature.
