It's Thursday, September 12th. Let's get you caught up with

today's seven stories. Number one, Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are wrangling over a second debate.

The Vice President's aides are pushing for a second face-off.

Poll show that she won Tuesday night's encounter,

and Harris's staff sees a second debate as another chance to get out her message in a shortened campaign.

But Trump's allies aren't so sure.

Some of them have admitted privately that the Republican

candidate performed poorly in this week's debate. They're now deliberating

over whether a rematch would help or hurt. The maneuvering behind the scenes

highlighted the reverberations from Tuesday's debate, but AIDS to both

candidates said they did not think it had fundamentally changed the dynamics of

the presidential contest.

Both candidates are still looking for ways to seize the momentum with just weeks remaining

in a campaign that is essentially tied. A grieving Ohio father told Trump to stop using his son as a quote political tool.
