The draft stage sits right outside Union Station. That is where the green room is inside the train station.

The prospects will answer their landline phone, hear their name called, talk to a coach, walk out on stage, hold up their jersey, and it'll be one of the best moments of their lives. Peter Schrager, Tom Pelliserra, what else do we need to know ahead of the event tonight? Well, the sun is shining now here. It's a beautiful Kansas City morning, and it's the best year of the death day of the offseason. It's the NFL drafts finally here where so many dreams are going to be realized. Interesting player in this process has been quarterback C.J. Stroud out of Ohio State. You've heard his name mentioned as close to

two to the Texans to four to the Colts to then maybe going even beyond that. Where he ends up

is secondary to now the story that's being told about him and how he's telling his own story. Yesterday,

he finally got onto the microphones and said in response to some of the stuff that was going on this week, I play football. I'm not a test taker, right? And that was a statement to everyone who was trying to drag his name through the mud. Tom, you've gotten a chance to do all the work on C.J. Stroud, who universally is considered the second quarterback in this draft.
