Hey friends, welcome back. We are in Proverbs chapter one and we're in a story where Solomon is

warning his son about the danger of peer pressure and how the very best way to deal with peer pressure is to be

ready for it before it comes, to know who you are, to be equipped with wisdom and a good relationship

with your mom and dad, to be ready to say no at the outset because it becomes harder and harder to say no,

the more you become and meshed in the crowd and it's wrong direction and wrong decision making.

So we talked a bit about that last episode.

Today we're in verse 20, which is more teaching about the same topic.

So Solomon has told the story, has given the advice, but now he talks about the wisdom that is available

and really is necessary in order for young people to make the right decisions when

it comes to things like peer pressure and so forth. So look at verse 20, Proverbs 1 and verse 20,

where it says, wisdom crieth without. So without means outside in the open, in public, is the way we would say that

today. She uttereth her voice in the streets. So it's interesting because Solomon has pointed out

at the beginning of his book that wisdom is the most important thing. And wisdom is the ability to see things from God's perspective,

to use what we know, what we learn for the Bible,

in practical ways to honor God,

to live within the fear of God.
