Hey, friends, welcome back to today's episode of Everyday Truth. We are in Proverbs chapter 6 and just

loving the practicality of this book and how it speaks to issues that are just as relevant

today as they were when the Proverbs were written many, many years ago, 3,000 years ago.

We're in verse 12, Proverbs 6, verse 12.

The Bible says, a naughty person have to love the old English.

The naughty person.

Naughty here means a person that has no moral fiber.

The word belial is often translated naughty in the Bible.

So somebody that is not concerned about pleasing God.

A wicked person is the appositive used there in verse 12.

He walketh with a froward mouth.

Interesting.

So when the behavior of a wicked person is described, it's described in terms of what he says.

And so often in the Bible do you see that pattern that a person's speech gives him away?

For a couple of reasons. First of all, out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.

So eventually, if we're not guarding our heart, if we're not guarding our character,
