| 0:00.0 | It's Thursday, May 30, 2024. |
| 0:07.0 | I'm Albert Moeller, and this is the briefing, a daily analysis of news and events from a Christian worldview. |
| 0:13.6 | We just recently discussed the fact that the first legal same-sex marriages in the United States |
| 0:18.3 | took place just about 20 years ago, thus on the pro-same-sex marriage side, they're talking about the 20th anniversary of |
| 0:25.5 | legal same-sex marriage in the United States. |
| 0:28.8 | But even as we think about this, I want us to think for a moment about what this means in generational terms. |
| 0:34.6 | Because it's really helpful that USA Today put out an article of the headline, quote, |

| 1:17.1 | Now, unsurprisingly, here's the thing to note. |
| 1:19.2 | The vast majority of the young adults in this generation say that they are positive when it comes |
| 1:24.9 | to same-sex marriage. They're pro-same-sex marriage. Here's where Christians need |
| 1:28.8 | to understand exactly what God spoke to Israel in terms of the importance of the law. The law is not just |
| 1:35.4 | a restraining force, the law is not just God's moral command put into |
| 1:40.1 | propositional form, the law is a teacher. |
| 1:43.6 | And regardless of what the law is in any society, |
