A ton of celebrity birthdays today, Emily Van Kempe is celebrating, Romney Malik. He's the only celebrity that anyone ever tells me I look like.

Molly Ackerman, Jason Biggs, a birthday pie for him, Kim Fields, Tony Hawk, Emilio Estevez, Flying V, Ving Rames, we have the meats.

And legendary songwriter, Bert Baccharaq is still kicking, he's 94 today, happy birthday.

Alright, we start with the top stories. This one is a big deal. I'm honestly not seeing it in too many places and I feel like it should be at the top of the list.

We have a real drug problem here in this country. According to new numbers released by the CDC, over 107,000 Americans died of drug overdoses in 2021.

That's roughly one every five minutes. And that beats the previous record, which sadly was set the year before.

And now one of the main stories regarding Russia this morning is that Finland's leaders, Justice Morning, announced their support for joining NATO.

Finland shares a border with Russia and Putin has warned them against joining NATO saying there would be consequences.

Finland and Sweden are both poised to join and from what I understand, decisions might be made this week.

Okay, on to sports, a couple headlines for you, 27 year old Nicola Yokic of the Denver Nuggets was just named the NBA MVP for the second year in a row.

He plays for Serbia as well, international. He's only the 13th player to in back to back MVP titles, congrats dude.

And I like this one four time tennis Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka is leaving her talent agency, IMG, to start her own.

It's called evolve. She is the highest paid female athlete in the world. She's only 24 years old.

And she said quote, evolve represents the evolution of not just my business career, but also the way athletes can control their destiny.

She's very close. There's three part docuseries about her life on Netflix if you want to know more.

And last thing here, Forbes just released their list of the world's 10 highest paid athletes.

And the top three are Cristiano Ronaldo, LeBron James and Lionel Messi, all making well over $100 million in a single year.

Moving on to a few entertainment headlines now for you this morning.
