A major European bank is in trouble and you only have a few hours left to get your

brackets ready. The first round of N. C. Double A March Madness starts today.

Washington Post. It's Thursday March 16th. Let's get you caught up with today's

seven stories. First up, trouble at a major European Bank is causing more financial uncertainty.

The Swiss Bank, Credit Suisse, said yesterday that it'll borrow up to 53.7 billion dollars from

Switzerland's Central Bank. This came after it found problems in its

financial reporting. Banking stocks took a hit after the announcement, and you can imagine how this adds to the global financial fears.

The collapse of two regional U.S. banks happened less than a week ago,

and Credit Suisse is much larger and more involved in the global

financial system. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen is set to testify

before Congress about the turmoil today at 10 a.m. Eastern. Number two.

Number two, the US is pushing Tik-Tok's Chinese owners to sell their shares.

It's part of a Biden administration plan to address national security concerns about the popular video app's owner,

Bight Dance, which is based in Beijing. Policymakers are worried that China could eventually use it for propaganda and blackmail.

Some U.S. lawmakers want to ban it entirely.

The plan would probably require approval from Chinese officials.

It may also face legal action from Bike dance which denies being controlled by China's government. Number three Russia said it will try to retrieve the wreckage from a downed U.S. drone fell into the Black Sea on Tuesday. the in Russian forces since Russia invaded Ukraine last year.

The U.S. said yesterday that nothing important remained on the drone.

In a news conference yesterday, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin emphasized the importance of communication

between Russia and the US
