If you recall, if you were with us at this time yesterday, we were talking about the shortage of lifeguards and then it kind of stumbled into how filthy pools are.

It always goes to the filthy route. It goes wrong every time.

One of our listeners called in, who was in Metro Detroit and said that he was on a swim team at a school years ago and they over-chlorinated the water, something fierce, to where it died all their hair.

It turned it to like what he described as this cotton.

Yeah, cotton. That was the description.

Andy said almost like a dead dandy lion.

Oh, he wasn't lying because the news report from that story was unearthed.

Let's take a little flashback in time to this story of what happened at this Metro Detroit High School when they over-chlorinated the pool.

And I'm Stephen Clark. The school says the water is just fine, but the swimmers say it's a hazard to their health.

Their complaints include problems like hair loss, bald spots, rashes, extremely dry skin, even upper respiratory infections.

Actioners are put to Cheryl Chodinous, live at Lansing, schools, high school and Harrison Township, where team members just got out of the pool.

Cheryl. And Stephen, this is truly a mystery because school officials say they have tested the water.

They hired a consultant. They say everything is fine, but when team members walked out that door just a few moments ago, it was startling.
