The NBA finals kick off tonight and NASA is trying to solve the mystery of

Let's get you caught up with today's seven stories.

First up, the debt ceiling deal passed the House yesterday.

The bill was approved by a vote of 314 to 117.

It would suspend the debt limit, which controls how much money the U.S. can borrow until January 2nd, 2025.

The deal also cuts some government spending and adds new work requirements for food stamps.

This vote was the first big step toward preventing a disastrous debt default.

The deal now heads to the Senate.

Lawmakers may have to work through the weekend to pass it

before Monday. That's when the U.S. will run out of money to pay its bills. Number two, Donald Trump was caught on tape talking about classified documents.

The recording, which prosecutors haven't released yet, is from 2021 at Trump's New Jersey

golf course.

It appears to show the former president bragging about having a classified document related

to Iran. This is according to reporting from the post.

The new audio suggests that Trump understood the legal and security issues around having

such restricted information.

He's being investigated for potentially mishandling government information

and this could become important evidence.

Hundreds of classified documents were found at his Florida home last year. Number three, two abortion bands were struck down in Oklahoma yesterday.
