Let's get you caught up with today's seven stories.

Number one, President Biden explained his decision to drop out of the presidential race in an Oval Office address last night.

It was Biden's first speech to the nation since his decision to end his re-election campaign

last weekend.

That's the best way to unite our nation.

You know, there is a time and a place for a long years of experience in public life.

There's also a time and a place for new voices, fresh voices, yes younger voices, and that time and

places now.

Biden defended his record and tried to define his legacy and he laid out his vision for the

remainder of his presidency. Since announcing his decision, Biden has been the

subject of many conspiracy theories. Donald Trump and some of his supporters made unsupported

claims about Biden's health, his motives for dropping out, and even whether he was still

alive. His appearance last night may have laid some conspiracies to rest.

But the spread of these false assertions underlines the risk of misinformation to November's election. and Donald Trump hit the campaign trail yesterday.

Each candidate tried to reframe the presidential election.

At an event in Indianapolis, Harris said her campaign will be a fight against extremists.

Trump took the stage a fight against extremists.
