And it always starts at the top story.

Today it's a couple stories in the political world.

First the latest on Saturday shooting at the Trump rally yesterday a house panel

subpoena the secret service director over that assassination attempt and

their handling of it. She is now scheduled to appear in front of the committee on

Monday for the first congressional

hearing regarding the incident that's coming up on Monday.

And in President Biden news first, the White House announced yesterday that he tested positive

for COVID.

He promptly canceled a speech that he was set to give in Vegas.

Also Democratic Congressman Adam Schiff is the latest member of the party to urge the

president to step aside and not take part in the upcoming

race. With the Democratic National Convention coming up next month though, it is expected

that the party will move forward with his nomination unless something changes which should be

announced sometime during the first week of August.

All right, okay on a sports here with the Olympics coming in just days at this point.

The mayor of Paris, her name is Anne Hidalgo.

She wanted to prove to the world that the Sen River is safe to swim in.
