Hey, friends. Welcome to today's episode of Everyday Truth and a brand new study in our Bible.

Kind of sad to say goodbye to the book of Matthew and all of what we learned about Jesus is king,

but excited about going to the beginning of the Old Testament, not the very beginning,

but we're going to Genesis chapter 11.

And what we're going to do over the next few weeks is we're going to look at the life of

one person, essentially. And that one person is Abraham, called Abram. His name was changed. We'll talk

all about that in the course of the study. But I really want us to see this character in the Bible and just how

important he is in God's redemptive plan and in the whole idea of biblical theology. It's really,

really important that we understand who Abraham is for a number of reasons. But a big one is that if you know

Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, then you are a child of Abraham, spiritually speaking. Did you ever

sing that song in Sunday school? Father Abraham had many sons and many sons had Father Abraham said,

I am one of them and so are you and we do all the hand motions. We're not going to sing it now,

but that song really has some rich theology. And so as we begin to talk about this great character in the Bible, Abraham, and the Abrahamic
