Terrifying.

First, Germans really aren't used to critters.

Native to North America, raccoons were introduced to Germany not until the 1930s.

And since then, they've been growing in number, and now they've become a major problem.

Germans who've been impacted by the raccoons have lately observed them breaking into homes

and causing an impressive amount of damage.

The thing about these German raccoons, they've apparently developed a taste

for beer.

There is a plague of beer swinging raccoons, trashing people's homes and eating their pets.

They call it in Germany a catastrophe.
