We do begin with some news. The wicked weather, a major storm, is heading to the Midwest and the East Coast. And the West right now having a very wet and dangerous, in fact, Christmas. It's a state of emergency in parts of California. Almost the entire state is on alert for flooding, and we are tracking all of it. And that is where we start with Melissa Adonchi is in Los Angeles. Melissa, good morning to you. Hey, good morning, Will. While we

are not out of the woods yet, we're experiencing currently a break from the rain. And you can

tell by the L.A. River, it has been impressive through yesterday. This is L.A.'s what

wet is storm on record in more than five decades.

Overnight catastrophic flooding as millions wake up Christmas morning. California pounded by

heavy rain triggering flash floods nearly 40 million people now under flood watch. In Palmdale, multiple vehicles

swept away due to the rushing floodwaters. The governor declaring a state of emergency in multiple
