I thought this might happen and it has. House Democrats have chosen Hakeem Jeffries to

fill that Nancy Pelosi-shaped hole. She led the devs for two decades and recently announced she's

stepping aside. Jeffries was running unopposed. It was sort of assumed and now it's official.

Republicans will have control of the house when Congress returns in January. So he will have the

title of minority leader. Hakeem Jeffries has served as a US representative in New York since 2013

and will now become the first black person to lead one of the two major parties in either chamber

of Congress. Okay. All right. Into sports. One of the big stories right now is out of the

soccer world, but not necessarily world cup related. Cristiano Ronaldo, who recently left Manchester

United, has reportedly been offered $207 million per year to play in Saudi Arabia. This contract

would allegedly run through 2025. So more than $600 million in those three years, take it,

sign it. According to ESPN, he's waiting until after the World Cup to make that decision. But there
