Let's get you caught up with today's seven stories.

Number one, the U.S. plans to send advanced smart bomb equipment to Ukraine.

The kits are used to convert unguided ammunition into highly accurate weapons.

The U.S. military has used the technology on bombs that can weigh up to 2,000 pounds,

usually incorporating them with bomber aircrafts and fighter jets.

This would be another significant step by the U.S. to help Ukraine fight off Russian forces. Number two, a damaging tornado hit New Orleans for the second time this year.

The tornado carved a path of destruction up to two miles long yesterday.

It was part of an outbreak of deadly storms across southern states.

Yeah, that's a nasty one.

That's a tornado right there.

Oh my gosh.

Tornado is just one right here.

The storm system is set to bring heavy snow to parts of the northeast today.

And extremely cold temperatures are expected across the lower 48 into next week.

Number three, the House passed a bill to give Congress more time to fund the government.

The government will shut down after Friday unless lawmakers in Congress can agree on a funding plan.
