you with kind of a on-the-edge question last episode, and I want to jump right back into it.

So Jesus has answered the Pharisees. They're trying to trip him up. And in answering the question

about marriage, Jesus comes right back

to the simple design of marriage, that God created men and women. And when a man marries a woman,

he leaves his father and mother. He joins himself unto his wife, and they become one flesh.

This is God's design, God's desire, and God is the one that does this. And what God does,

we should not undo. So Jesus gave a very terse and yet powerful answer to the critics, but they followed it up, didn't they? And they said,

well, what did Moses mean then? I mean, what did the Bible mean in Deuteronomy chapter 24,

where it seems to indicate that Moses issued bills of divorcement. So obviously God is pro

divorce. If this isn't the the Bible, and Moses did it,

and Moses, Moses, he's our man. I mean, the Pharisees, I mean, they really, that was their hero.

And the law, the mosaic writings, Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy,

I mean, that was their foundation.

So they seem to be on solid ground, too.

So who's right?
