Summary

The symbolic bad shepherds in Zechariah 11 are feeding the sheep the wrong things and are leading them astray - straight to the slaughter. As we continue our Through the Bible study, we find out who these shepherds are, the evil they are doing, what will become of their sheep, and what the literal interpretation is prophetically for both the people of Israel and the world today.

One of the things I often am thankful for in kind of a cool way, but I also have to remind myself that it wasn't all.

You know how you have memories that were glorious memories of your past?

And then you kind of remember,

0:21.2

oh, it wasn't really that glorious. This is one of those. I have fond memories of growing up on our

little farm as a kid. And I talk about it, you know, from time to time. And my wife, she's like,

at least I did,

those animals. And, you know, of all the animals that we had, of that list, including the

1:21.5

worms, the sheep were the dumbest. Oh, they were cute and cuddly and all that, but they were really, really dumb. And that's

1:30.1

the problem. You know, it's funny when the Bible compares you and me to sheep, it's actually a little

1:36.2

painfully true. No wonder the Lord says that, you know, to us. I'm reminded, you know,

1:41.0

that what Isaiah the prophet said, all we like sheep have gone astray.

1:45.0

You know, we've turned everyone his own way, and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

1:50.7

We're the sheep who go astray, and good thing for us.
