And I'm teaching verse by verse through every verse in the Bible.

And we wanted to share it with you.

So here's a little sample of Through the Bible.

So we now come to Genesis chapter 2, verse 1, says, thus the heavens and the earth were

finished and all of the host of them. You know, the word for finished here, it's something like

Kala. I can barely speak English, much less Hebrew or Greek. But anyway, this word

literally means to be finished, perished, transitive, to complete, prepare, consume. This is really

significant, the word that is used because it says the heavens and the earth were finished and all of the host of them.

That means that he hasn't done anything else about creation since the first six days of creation.

And I emphasize this a little bit in Genesis chapter one when we were talking about that

when he said let the earth

bring forth trees and grass whose seed is in itself the way he spoke it into existence he didn't

just create a tree or grass that when they died they would just be gone no there was seed in itself so

he created creation with the ability to procreate. Now, that is really significant.

And you can see it right here because it says it was finished. God has never done anything else

about creation since the first six days. He has not had to create a new cow. He hadn't had to create a new tree, a new plant. Did you know we eat all of these animals, but he doesn't have to get up in the morning and say, let there be a million new cows to replace all of the ones that were taken. He gave the creation the ability to procreate. And this is super important because in the very next verse

in verse 2, it says, and on the seventh day, God ended his work which he had made, and he rested
