If you grew up in my generation, or even a little earlier actually, some of you were permanently damaged,

maybe even scarred, because of the Disney movie Old Yeller.

Oh man, what a bummer that was.

There was that, you know, that kid, you know, and they were down there, you know, somewhere, I don't even know where Texas, the South, Kentucky maybe.

And the kid found this dog and he, you know, at first he didn't really like the dog because he was stealing chicken eggs and stuff like that but but he ends up you know kind of liking the dog and then

I think the dog sort of rescues him from a bear and you know and then you really like the dog and

the family adopts the dog that they found and they called him yeller you know as kind of his yellow

colorish dog but you started to love old yeller and it was this happy Yeller, you know, as kind of his yellow colorish dog.

But you started to love old Yeller, and it was this happy little family show, you know,

all the old Disney actors and everything, you know, like the Swiss Family Wabinson's sons and stuff.

Same actors and everything.

Fess Parker, was that his name, the Daniel Boone guy, he was in it.

It was just a homie, and it was a cuddly and a great dog and you just loved it.

And then the dog got rabies and the kids shot the dog. The end. Like it was this horrible movie.

And you know, they tried to patch it up at the end. They get a little puppy that was a descendant of old yeller.

There was an implication there.

And then the little puppy stole some eggs like the dad did or whatever.

It's supposed to make you feel better, but it didn't.

Because old yeller, and, you know, that was one of those growing up things.

You had to realize, wow, a rabid dog.

That was the problem. The dog was bitten, I forget by a wild hog or something.

Or no, a wolf.
