Let's get to it. We're going to finish up Lord Willen right now, the book of Micah. So why

you turn to Micah, chapter six, for tonight's study?

One of the things we learned in our previous Wednesday nights is that Micah sort of marks

his sections here in his book with a little phrase, hear ye or here. When he says

here, it's almost like you have to say, oh, here's a new section. And so really here in chapter six,

he starts with hear ye now. And that's a sign of this third section. The first section was

chapter one, verse two, hear ye all the people.

And chapter three, he said, I said, here, and then chapter six, he says, hear you now.

So some people kind of divide the book into those three chunks. We're finishing that final

chunk. And in this chapter, chapter six, there's kind of an interesting conversation that takes place sort of in a

kind of a rhetorical way between God and the people of Israel.

And it's a short conversation, but it is a conversation nonetheless.

And I find it interesting that God even wants to talk to these people.

Have you ever wondered, like, why does God even want to talk to you or me?

Why is prayer even something that works?

But it is, and God is interested in communicating with his people.

But, you know, how does he communicate?

We see that in a kind of a beautiful way and sort of a heartbreaking way here

in Micah. It's because the people have become jaded and have a bad attitude toward God. But God

and his love and his long suffering and his mercy, he's just going to be patient with these people.

And, you know, I wonder, you know, if I were God, would I have crushed these people? You know know uh i wonder you know if i were god would i have crushed

these people you know just getting sick of their bad attitude um you know would we have just all
