Matthew chapter 5 is where we are in our study through the Bible.

Mosian through Matthew.

We definitely have been a little slower in this last couple weeks, but in our defense,

the Sermon on the Mount is the greatest sermon ever preached.

And so it's worthy of taking time and considering and slowing down maybe a little bit.

A few reminders as we're still sort of just dipping our toe into the New Testament,

as we've been in the Old Testament for the last nine years.

We are now in the New Testament.

I like to remind, you know, that remember that the new, quote,

and quote, new Christianity did not replace old Judaism.

Not replacement, but fulfillment.

Christianity is fulfilling Judaism.

And that's a key part of your understanding and thinking.

And if you understand that, much more of the Bible will make sense,

including the Sermon on the Mount.

The Sermon on the Mount has a massive link.

Remember I told you about, you know, the pastors and preachers are saying,

we need to unhitch ourselves from the Old Testament. And so churches, by the droves, have

forsaken the Old Testament. They think, that's for the Jews. And we're Christians, so we're

New Testament kind of people. Horrible, horrible teaching, horrible way to understand the Bible. If you don't understand

the Old Testament, the law of Moses, you will not understand the sermon on the Mount.
