Let's see a show of hands. How many guys follow the news pretty closely? Raise your hands?

How many you, not so closely, just once in a while, raise your hands. How many you never look at the news?

Oh, you're the happy ones.

You're the blessed. You're the blessed. Yeah, it's an interesting debate I have in my own brain

from time to time. I think, you know what, I'm done. I'm just sick of watching all this stuff.

And, you know, it just gets crazier and crazier. And, you know, you can almost feel your

blood pressure rise when you see things that are

wrong with the world and stuff like that. But it is interesting. More and more, I find myself,

maybe it's just me getting older and a little less intense, but I do find myself, my heart

almost lifts up as I see, you know, crazy stuff going on in the world. I have to say, you know,

it makes me realize, wow, Lord, you just really knew before anything ever happened. You know

the beginning from the end. You know the future. By the way, there's a whole religious theology

out there in churches. It's called open theism. Have you guys ever heard of open theism?

It's been furthered by a pastor named Greg Boyd, who I disagree with a lot of his teachings. I wouldn't recommend

him at all. But there's a lot of people that really esteem him, but he believes in this open

theism kind of thing where God doesn't really know the future. You know, your future is in your hands.

Can you imagine what the eschatology is of a person that believes that? And you could probably

guess from our previous studies. There's whole groups that think things are getting better and better

and the kingdom's going to come if we usher in the kingdom and all this stuff.
