I love going verse by verse through the Bible.

Luke is as thorough an account of the gospel,

and it's known for its precision compared to maybe the other gospels.

Not that the other ones are not correct, of course they are,

but there's a precision that Luke brings.

It's like we talked about it.

It might even have been used as a legal

document for Paul when he stood there before Rome. Um, and so it's articulate and, uh, and one of the

things that's rewarding. And I don't, I don't like to look up Greek words just to be fancy. Um,

uh, but the Greek, uh, is so colorful and helpful to understand the original intent of Scripture

and what was being said.

So we do dive into Greek words once in a while, and that's kind of fun, especially with Luke,

because Greek for Luke, he was quite articulate and had quite a vocabulary that only Paul would be sort of his equal

when it comes to the use of the Greek language. So last Wednesday we finished with Mary's

genealogy, the genealogy of Mary and Luke chapter 3. And we begin Luke chapter 4, verse 1.

And Jesus, now pause right there i know two words uh but um jesus mentioned here

first in this chapter um who was mentioned last in the last chapter in, you know, this genealogy,

it says which was son of Enos, which is son of Seth,

which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.

And Jesus, wait, now what's going on there?

Now that's an interesting thing,

because remember, there were no chapter breaks
