what part of the Bible do you like the best?

He was being interviewed for the youth pastor position

by a panel of elders in the church of a certain congregation.

Well, sir, I like the New Testament, sir.

Well, what book in the New Testament?

I like, I believe the book of parables, sir.

And one of the elders said, well, would you kindly relate one of those parables to this council?

Sam, you know, feeling the pressure, wanted to be thought of as knowledgeable,

so he thought the council would know much more about the Bible than he would.

So he decided just to make a big, bold attempt, and it went as follows.
