Summary

In Luke 12, Jesus addresses the multitude, warning them about hypocrisy, getting caught up in worldly cares, and neglecting God’s commands. As we study the exact issues He wants us to watch out for, we learn why these things are so dangerous to our souls and how we should turn our hearts to God and His treasure instead.

where we went over the six woes of Jesus that are pretty intense.

It's funny how when I talk about some of those things, the woes of Jesus,

I get a little more pushback because once in a while those woes sort of hit people.

When you call things out that are needing to be corrected, And Jesus did it, he got a kind of a rough

response from the religious leaders and people. And I shouldn't be surprised, I think, to,

I think we get a little pushback from some of those things. But one thing we should be really

careful about is when Jesus says, whoa, about something, we should say, whoa, whoa, no,

you know, we better stop being a part of that or embracing or endorsing whatever he's

But we finish that up and then looking to get into chapter 12, maybe Lord willing, finish

It's a powerful and important chapter.

Jesus is both gaining in popularity by this time in the story, but he's also making the religious people really mad. And they're already wanting

to do them in. And so we see that here. And we'll pick it up right there in verse one.

It says, in the meantime, when there was, were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people,

in so much that they trod one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples, first of all,

beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. So Jesus, big multitudes

are following them. It would be interesting to actually see this. It says, you know, that the people

were walking all over each other. It's like going to a big concert or something that's got tons of people.

And you're realizing that people are being sort of trampled and pushed around.

That's like a big mosh pit up there with people crowding and shoving and stuff.
