Daniel Webster, maybe you're familiar with the name,

famous for a lot of things.

He was a guy who said a lot of brilliant stuff.

American lawyer, statesman, former Secretary of State.

But he made this statement, and I think it was really true

back in the old days of the 1800s, he said, if we abide by the principles taught in the Bible, our country will go on prospering

and to prosper.

But if we and our posterity neglect its instructions and authority, no man can tell how sudden a catastrophe may overwhelm us and

bury all our glory in profound obscurity. Man, I'll tell you, how true those words are, and I fear

that it's starting to happen right under our noses during our generation.

Does that make anybody else kind of sad to see under our watch?

You know, if you're a Gen Xer, I'm not going to blame the greatest generation.

They did their part and did it well.

But once we got into Gen X and then, you know, the millennials and then Gen Zers, it's under

our watch.

We're watching, I think, our nation really spiral downward.

But it really, I think you could say it's because of this or that or the other.

But, you know, I think Daniel Webster kind of saw

something that was perhaps notable, in fact, you know, so true about if we just go with the

principles taught in the Bible. But as soon as we left those principles, we saw our nation start

to spiral and become, well, are we obscure yet? Not, not yet, but we seem to be
