Well, here we are finally at Stevens' sermon. This is a big one. Maybe one of the greatest of sermons.

I think Jesus probably preached the greatest ones because he was perfect and his sermons were

amazing and powerful. But when it comes to sermons preached, Stevens has to be right up there.

Maybe the top five in the world.

I think this is such an amazing sermon that we could really spend weeks studying this little

passage. But then we kind of miss the context of what's going on. But what we have to remember

is Stephen, one of the first deacons. We met him last week, chosen by the congregation,

as one of the seven deacons of the church. But we saw that he was being falsely accused.

Man, have you ever been falsely accused of something? And you knew you were right and they were wrong,

but man, it just, and then it just, sometimes it never

corrects itself. I remember one time I was doing a wedding, and I'd only done over a thousand

weddings by this time, so I, you know, kind of kind of have weddings down. I enjoy doing weddings,

but, you know, I could, you know, I could do a wedding with my hands tied behind my back, you know.

Well, I went, showed up at this wedding.

It was a real official, beautiful wedding at a certain fancy place.

And, man, when I got there, there were these professional wedding coordinators, man.

These ladies, man, they're just like clipboards and, you know, calm systems and, you know, like weapons and stuff.

It was amazing.

But they were amazing. You know, G systems and, you know, like weapons and stuff. It was amazing. But, but they, they were amazing, you know, GI Joe type ladies that were all ready for this wedding.

But I walked up and they looked at me and like, you know, and they gave me the microphone pack

with the little microphone that was going to be on my lapel or whatever.

And they said, do you know how to use one of these?
