Pastor James, Shields and I were years ago, headed over to Africa.

We got on a flight from here to Paris and then from Paris to West Africa.

But I remember, you know, getting on that 7-77, that was back when it was kind of still a new plane.

And, man, it was amazing, comfortable.

And there's actually a thing called leg room

you young people don't know what i'm talking about but it was awesome and and you know everybody

had their own tv and i just remember you know the biggest thing i worried about was what movie i was

going to watch you know and it was just comfortable and it was great and the pilot was boasting how fast it was

and and it just seems everything was so dialed.

But have you ever noticed on those flights when they go to the emergency instructions and all that?

Nobody's listening. Like everybody's just looking at their phones or reading their paper or, you know, on their computers or whatever.

And nobody listens to the in-flight instructions on emergency. I'm kind of the nerdy guy that does. I'm always like,

okay, where's the exits? You know, and I think about those things. I don't know why I'm that guy,

but I always do sort of, I think it's just interesting kind of, I guess. I always think it's funny

when they used to tell you, you know, in a case of a crash landing, remember, they used to tell you to put your head down and put your hands on the top of your head. I think they stopped saying that because they found that that doesn't help.

You're just going to be a pink mist anyway, so it doesn't matter.

Anyway, those are the kinds of things I think about.

But when James and I were in the West Africa for three weeks and we were teaching at these

pastors conferences, and man, we had a great time and met so many

amazing people but we were tired ready to get home and see our families again so we got there at the

wogadugu international airport in Burkina Faso and we went through the airport walked out on the

you know the tarmac or whatever.
