What an amazing book we have in our hands.

You know, it's really 66 books, 40 different authors, written by herdsman and Amos.

You know, we've got kings that authored some of the Bible in David and Solomon,

government workers.

Yes, they get some work done. Matthew, Matthew wrote a book of the

Bible, of course, and scholars like Paul, the Apostle, or military generals like Joshua. Like, what a

diverse group. Prisoners, but we even have doctors. Paul the Apostle would call Luke,

the author of the Book of Acts, the beloved physician. That was his, you know, sort of fun name

for Luke. The beloved physician, he's the author. But incredible, you know, this, with all these

authors recorded by over a span of 1500 years

in three languages, Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic, what an amazing book in that, with all that

diversity of, you know, three continents, you know, it's still perfectly unified without

controversy, without, you know, contradiction.

Oh, Brett, I went to college.

And they said the Bible's full of contradictions.

The reason men say that, men do not reject the Bible because it contradicts itself.

They reject the Bible because it contradicts them.

The Bible is full of this amazing internal harmony that really couldn't have been done over a

1500-year period with any accuracy, especially when it deals with things like Bible prophecy.

And we'll see some of that here in Acts chapter 2, prophecy from the Old Testament being fulfilled,

and also even more prediction of

future events in Acts chapter 2. But what makes the Bible powerful? Well, it's really by the hand
