Hello my friends welcome back to the morning mindset. I'm thankful that you're

doing your part to keep the body of Christ strong and healthy in the faith that Jesus has provided to us.

You're doing your part because you're part of the body.

Thank you for doing that. It benefits me. It benefits you.

It benefits everyone in the body of Christ when we all are doing

our part to remain strong in our faith. We've been looking at the book of

Galatians and we're down in chapter 2 right around verse number 15 and the apostle

Paul has just told a story of how he received the gospel message directly from

Jesus Christ how he had that gospel message affirmed by the leaders in the early

church.

And then he gave an account of how he stood toe to toe with one of those apostles to clarify what the gospel was and to ensure that the

purity of faith alone in Jesus Christ alone was what was maintained as the Gospel message.

And now in verse 15, he's going to use an example from his experience or from his background to help us understand this issue a little further.

He says, we ourselves, speaking of himself, are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners he probably had

this in quotes because he's writing to Gentiles but that was the attitude the

Jewish people had about Gentiles with it they were sinners.

He says so we ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners.

Yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law, but through faith in Jesus Christ.

So we also have believed in Christ Jesus in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law.

Because by works of the law, no one will be justified.

Now in Paul's context, he's obviously talking about the Jewish law,

the Old Testament law.
