And we are here today to talk about Game of Thrones season 8 episode five,

The Bells, in which Lord John Connington recounts his experiences at the Battle of Stony

Sept and Roberts Rebellion, ending his flashback with The Bells told for us all that day,

for Erez and his queen, for Ilya of Dorn and her little daughter, for every true man

and honest woman in the

seven kingdoms, and for my silver prince. Wow, just so moving on John Connick's part to bring

that up at the end of this episode, really kind of touched me in places that shouldn't be touched.

One of my favorite parts of a dance with dragons, and I love that they adapted to season eight.

Who saw that coming? Wow, it's crazy. Like, you have all of these book references

coming out all over the place. But no, I mean, it's interesting, right, that they would bring up

John Connington's and the Bells and that scene from a Dance with Dragons and his memories

from Roberts Rebellion here at this very, very late juncture in the story. It feels like almost

like a homage or kind of echo to Jora Bormont carrying John

Cyneton's Grayscale back in seasons five, six, and seven before he's cured, apparently,

by Samuel Tarley. But I don't know. I liked it, I guess.

Truly off-screen John Connington is providing some of Game of Thrones best moments.

And we'll get into that and so much else about this episode.

It was divisive once again, which is becoming the theme for season eight.
