There are serious problems in our world and we do need to respond with love as Christians and at the same time strongly defend the faith. Your articles, I believe, help me to do that. Thank you.”

The House of Representatives voted to impeach President Trump last night,

0:24.1

a decision that fell almost entirely along party lines.

0:28.1

As I noted yesterday, some House members have been trying to impeach the president for years

0:33.7

and undoubtedly see yesterday's vote as a vindication of their efforts. On the opposite side

1:39.9

significance of yesterday's action. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says the House could at least

1:45.5

temporarily hold its articles of impeachment from the Senate, depending on how the latter

1:50.6

chooses to conduct its trial on the president's removal. Even if the Senate acquits the president,

1:56.7

we do not know the effect of impeachment on his future. President Andrew Johnson survived impeachment
