If you notice that there's a perception in the culture that Christians are in some ways

opposed to science, right?

We're the ones who seem like we're hesitant to wear masks, you hear this all the time on

social media, I see it constantly, that we somehow don't want to be vaccinated for one reason

or another, almost as though we're saying, and of course the culture says, you must do these

things, you must act on the advice of scientists because scientists appear to be the authority

to which all of us are ready to submit our freedoms, to submit our will.

If scientists say it is so, aren't we supposed to believe it so?

In other words, are they the final authority?

Is that the rub between Christians who believe the word of God is our final authority?

And those who are in the secular world who default to something else is their authority

often to the proclamations of scientists.

Does this mean then that Christians are opposed to scientists, are opposed to science in general?

Of course, this is not the case, but it seems to me as I watch what's happening on social media,

that this is the perception that is growing, that somehow Christians are opposed to the authority

of science or opposed to what science might discover or opposed even to the process by which we

might learn something from science.
