So today we're going to be talking about Hairbrained Schemes Battle Tech, the new

turn-based tactics game, based on one of my favorite franchises, and I guess we'd say one of my favorite board games,

though my feelings about the original had become more complicated with time.

Before we dig into this new game, David, you mentioned when you called me begging to be on the show.

You said, like, this is one of your favorites, and this entire

franchise is like some of the first nerdy shit you ever got into. Why don't you give me a little

background on your love of battle tech and what expectations and apprehensions you brought

with you into this game? So in grade five, I was in a I went I went to a new school and I was in a

five six split and on Fridays or something like that we had independent time and some of the older boys

were like pouring over these books. I went to investigate, and it turned out there playing battle tech.
