So today we're tackling one of the best games of this brave new post-Hearthstone world

of unled card games. While Counterplay Games duelist won our Patreon poll on this topic

a little while back.

Julian was way into Dualist before it was cool.

So Julian, when do you kick us off here with a little info on Dualist?

In what ways is it sticking to a proven template?

And where is it kind of innovating and refining on the formula?

Well, so let's back up a second.

So I have to say, I have to give credit where credits do.

I found out about this game from another podcaster video guy, who you may know as

Quinn's, who does Shut Up and Sit Down, which is a great video series of board gaming reviews

for the most part.

And he does a separate little thing called Best Game Ever.

And he did, which nobody subscribes to.

It's sort of his side project.

And Best Game Ever did a little thing on Duelist.

I want to say two years ago, where he just proclaimed the praises of this game. And it seemed so ridiculous that

he would be so over the top about it that I had to jump in and see what all the noise was

about. Because what this game is, is a fairly simplistic sort of card battling game, very
