Joining me today, we welcome a regular panelist, Fraser Brown. Fraser, welcome to the show. Hi, thanks for having me. We also welcome, for the first time, one of my favorite writers over Kataku, reporter Evan Narciss. Evan, welcome to the show. Hey, Rob, thanks for having me on. So this morning we're going to be talking about a game that's a little bit off the

beaten track for us, but I think it's still relevant to our interests, and one I think still

definitely qualifies as a strategy game, the strategy of survival, and that is this war of

mine, a game about wartime survival.

And, you know, to get us started off, you know, Fraser, why don't you lead us in?

What's this game about and what sort of stuff do you get up to in this war of mine?

So it's a little bit like avoid camp test testing if you're still, after spending so many hours as hulking American soldiers saving the day,

or as an armchair general, distant from a war,

because it puts you right in the middle, but as a civilian,

and it's bloody miserable. So it's a survival management game

where you are given control of up to, I think, five is the maximum group, as big a group of

survivors as I got, but it might be able to go higher.

In one house, and you're really just finding food and medicine, the basic things to survive,

eventually expanding and even building things like comfortable furniture and finding nice books to read to make things a bit nicer for everyone.

But in general it's just about keeping alive against the odds,

lots of adversity, lots of feels.

It's not very nice.

It's very gloomy.

I was really surprised at how grim it got how quickly.

Like, you know, on day three, like, everybody was hungry.

Somebody was depressed.
