Anyway, today we're going to be talking about our former intern Soren Johnson's upcoming game,

Offworld Trading Company.

We've been playing around a little bit with an early version of the game.

And it's enjoyable.

It's also a really unusual take on the RTS, just as Soren kind of promised from the start.

So I think we'll just dive in because really this is a bit of a discussion of some games we

were playing yesterday altogether.

But to sort of set the stage a little bit, Offworld Trading Company is the first game from

Soren's Mohawk Games.

And when he announced it, when he launched it, he said he was going to try to take the

RTS format but in a different direction, away from combat and into some other formats that

would maybe the RTS genre is not explored, but also might help make the format a little more

accessible.
