And it's kind of a show that I kind of joked about doing a few times. But then this game came

along. I figured we just have to do this. I've mentioned last week on the show that I've been

playing Pokemon Conquest, which is known in Japan as Pokemon plus Nobonaga's ambition.

We'll get to that in a bit.

And many of my Pokemon experts could not be on the show, but fortunately I do have one.

One of my favorite writers and the expert on the Nintendo DS, one of my go-to people on this,

local heroine, Nadia Oxford.

Well, you've been writing for the DS column on About.com for how long now?

Oh, shoot. It's been about, I think it'll be

about three years in September. It's a long time. It's been a lot of fun. And you know your

Pokemon and you know your DS. So here we are talking about Pokemon conquest, which is

Pokemon strategy game conquering a pseudo-Japan with historical warlords.

So do you wonder somehow how this game works for our listeners who are probably thinking I've lost my mind at this point?

Well, it's actually a turn-based strategy game, basically featuring Pokemon.

You create little Pokemon armies, and you recruit Pokemon soldiers, and you're fighting warlords

who are their own special Pokemon combinations, and you have this whole rock, paper,

scissors system going on, which, you know, people, if they play Pokemon, they don't hold
